Their Light Shines On
It seemed like any other day, woke up showered and started the day, who would have guessed our world would change.
We woke up like any other day, who knew that it could happen today. Our city was rocked and the world was shocked, when our very own planes set the skies in flames.
Some of us had never seen, nor heard, or felt so much pain, but after that sad unfortunate day, all our lives were forever changed.
Deep in our heart we knew, exactly what we had to do, we decided to fight with America, united. To remove the world of the evil that caused so much hurt to so many people.
Mothers and Fathers, sisters and brothers, lit candles of love standing close to the others. Our friends were lost, their laughter gone, but in our hearts their light shines on.
So let us remember all that we've learned, all the pain we have shared, all the buildings that burned, all the love that is missed, the bear hugs and the kisses.
For in our hearts we remember it all, from the moment they hit until now, we stand tall.
We have to show the world we're still proud, by supporting our country in every way we know how.
We are the ones to remember it all, we are the ones who have to stand tall.
We each have our own special mission, because their light still shines on in every one of us, Love.
